Since its founding in 2015, the work of the LUI Che Woo Prize has continued to evolve. From 2020 onwards, projects and partners were sought in Hong Kong that could enable the Lui Prize to positively impact local communities – particularly in the areas of education, youth development, and environmental sustainability.

Teach Unlimited Foundation’s School-based Mentorship Programme
Lui Prize partnered with the Teach Unlimited Foundation’s School-based Mentorship Programme to assist students who are at high risk of developing low self-esteem.This five-year initiative not only helps high school students to develop the confidence to set and achieve clear goals in life, but also assists in the training of teachers and education talent.

Nature Creative Camp
Co-organised with The Boys and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong, this camp was designed to help 11-16 year old youths understand more about biodiversity and the local ecological environment, while, at the same time, providing them with a physically and mentally liberating experience.

University of Hong Kong’s Global Citizenship at Home Programme
he struggle to mitigate, and hopefully someday reverse, the devastating impact of climate change promises to be a long and arduous one. It is therefore vital that we start preparing the next generation of leaders who will steer Hong Kong through a future based on sustainability.
